A vision born in Collio
Founded in 1956 in Gradisca d’Isonzo, Marco Felluga is one of the wineries that helped shape the modern history of Collio. Born from the vision of Marco Felluga, who succeeded in preserving and modernising the family business, the winery carries forward a winemaking tradition spanning more than 150 years, built on quality, research and a deep connection with the land.
The path begun by Marco was continued by his son Roberto Felluga, the fifth generation of the family, who placed sustainability and environmental protection at the heart of his work. Today, under the guidance of Ilaria Felluga, the sixth generation, this journey continues with the same passion and dedication, combining respect for the family’s roots with a vision firmly focused on the future.
The Lion of Collio
The symbol of the winery is the lion, a tribute to the Republic of Venice and its historic connection with Gradisca d’Isonzo. In the 15th century, Venice ruled the fortified town, contributing to its development and strategic importance. Inspired by the Lion of Saint Mark, the logo reflects the identity of a borderland shaped by history and cultural influences, and continues to represent values of belonging, vision and continuity.
The vineyards
The Marco Felluga vineyards extend over more than 100 hectares across the municipalities of Farra d’Isonzo, San Floriano del Collio, Oslavia and Cormòns, among the most highly regarded areas of the appellation. Here, the hilly landscape, favourable climate and ponca, Collio’s characteristic soil, contribute to the creation of elegant, deep and distinctive wines that authentically express the character of the land.
