Monica Larner has recently awarded new recognitions to some of our labels on Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
Russiz Superiore Pinot Bianco Collio DOC 2024 – 93 points
The Russiz Superiore 2024 Collio Pinot Bianco initially shows ripe fruit flavors of apricot and Meyer lemon, alongside a savory side that emerges with spice and toasted almond. This pretty Pinot Bianco feels sharp and linear on the palate, with good tension and a medium structure that can stand up well to spicy foods. Made from 85% stainless steel and 15% neutral botte with eight months on the lees, and produced in 10,000 bottles, the wine balances freshness with subtle textural depth and complexity. This wine is a pleasure to drink.
Russiz Superiore Cabernet Franc Collio DOC 2022 – 92 points
The Russiz Superiore 2022 Collio Cabernet Franc is a lean- to medium-bodied red with a peppery note that frames a dark core of blackcurrant and cassis. I think this is the only varietal expressions of Cabernet Franc in this report, and it delivers excellent results thanks to its mid-weight mouthfeel, bright acidity and strong gastronomic appeal. The wine comes from Collio’s flysch soils, which contribute to its freshness and structural finesse, and aged 80% in stainless steel and 20% in botte.
Marco Felluga Mongris Pinot Grigio Collio DOC 2024 – 91 points
The Marco Felluga 2024 Collio Pinot Grigio Mongris is sharp and lifted, offering a strong sense of vertical intensity with aromas of sweet lemon, Golden Delicious apple and baked pear with a hint of pie crust. It’s encouraging to see Pinot Grigio interpreted in such a fine and sophisticated manner, with finesse and a glossy texture that elevate its easygoing charm. It is ideal for salads and outdoor lunches while still delivering excellent value. Made in stainless steel and aged on the lees for five months, the wine comes from Collio’s ancient flvsch soils formed around 50 million years ago, which help shape its freshness and mineral precision.
Russiz Superiore Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC 2024 – 91 points
The Russiz Superiore 2024 Collio Ribolla Galla opens to a pretty bouquet with a citrusy signature and pithy aromas that recall melon and stone fruit. There is a pleasing simplicity to this wine, delivered in a direct, linear style underlined by a hint of crushed stone on the finish. This is an accessible, easy-drinking expression that would make a perfect choice at aperitivo hour. Aged in 85% stainless steel and 15% neutral botte with eight months on the lees, this Ribolla Gialla balances freshness with a touch of textural roundness.
