The name “Maralba” is a dedication that Roberto Felluga wanted to make to his parents: Marco and Alba. “A recognition of the role my mother played in convincing my father Marco, over the years, to believe in and invest more and more in the Ribolla Gialla grape, which she always loved so much.”<\/p>\n

Type of soil<\/h3>\n

The Collio\u2019s hilly terrain, formed during the Eocene period, consists of layers of sandstone and loam rock (limestone and clay) that were once part of the ocean floor. The resulting soil is impermeable, so rainwater flows off its surface, producing little erosion and preventing stagnant water.<\/p>\n

Vinification<\/h3>\n

After destemming, the must and pulp undergo a cold maceration, followed by a gentle pressing to separate the grapes from the skins. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine thus obtained is left to refine six months on the lees before being bottled, and then some more months in the bottle.<\/p>\n

Characteristics<\/h3>\n

Straw yellow color. It is characterized by a fresh bouquet. It has an elegant and intense aroma with a floral and fruity background of exotic fruit, grapefruit and apple. It is pleasant and balanced in the mouth. It has an interesting extractive body, with an excellent freshness.<\/p>\n
